Goodish start to 09'

Me and Tom decided to play a tournament at napoleons casino yesterday. I've played there a few times and it's very seedy, the players are super aggro fish, the structure is terrible (£10 unlimited rebuys for 2hrs, starting stack 1k blinds 100/100, PL. Blinds increase in obscene increments), but the prize pool is epic. for 43 runners, the prize pool was just under 3k. After running like african death aids all night, I managed to wangle my way to fourth and £210. 60 of it went to Tom in an organised deal beforehand.

Started off on a naturally nutter table. My only hands in two hours were AK and 44, and 66. Ak got rivered by middle pair hitting trips, 44 got paid about 2k with a set, and the rest of the time my limping in late pos with crap failed to produce anything. I think i did something stupid with 96o too. Rebought twice and added on.

After this disgustingly barren period, I finally got semi paid when I had three callers on a raise with AA but annoyingly everyone gave up on the flop. I then CRAI on top pair and a flush draw (k5) after a bloke pet the pot. He folded. Still monumentally shortstacked compared to the rest of the field, about an hour later of pure bollocks I found 88 in the bb after everyone limped amazingly and decided to squeeze all in, getting called by a shortstack with kq. I hit quads! This put me middle stacked at around 17k.

Moving onto the last two tables, I called an all in from the button with a9s vs a4 for us to split the pot, then I lost the majority of my stack when I called an all in from the BB against the SB, AQ vs KJ. Flopped an A but he turn rivered two pair lol. Down to 8 BB. Ran card dead until i was down to about 4BB. Pushed with a7 got called by 88 and turn rivered a straight after he hit a set. My only real luck of the night! I then loosened up loads to try and steal some blinds which worked.

Went onto the final table as the shortest stack, tripled up AI with AQ vs KJ vs 1010 to finally give me some room. Then lost with a2 vs 99 after I raised the short BB. Some huge pots ensued till there were 4, and with me having less than 6bb the majority of the time, finally died with q9 vs JJ. That was it.

Hope all is good :D
